Booking Terms and Conditions

Please read the following information before requesting a place on a course.

Course start and finish times

The course will start and finish at the advertised time (occasionally a course might finish early if all present have covered the advertised course content to their satisfaction).

Delegates are required to arrive in good time for the course (ideally 5 minutes before the advertised start time).

Recording of attendance

The training provider will accurately record your attendance status. To support this delegates are required to sign their name on the supplied Sign-in Sheet.

At the tutor’s discretion, delegates who arrive after the course has started may be turned away and given an attendance status of ‘Did not attend’, or if allowed to stay, given an attendance status of ‘Partial attendance’.

Delegates are required to stay for the duration of the course. Delegates who leave part way through may be given the attendance status of ‘Partial attendance’.

Course fees

The training provider will not charge delegates for the course or related materials and activities unless stated at the time of booking.

Cancellation of a course by the training provider

The training provider will run the course so long as they have received the minimum number of bookings required.

The training provider will provide 3 days notice of cancellation in the case of low numbers and, where possible, provide 24 hours notice of cancellation for unforeseen circumstances, for example, if a tutor falls ill.

Cancellation of your place on a course

If you wish to cancel your place on a course, you can do so online by logging onto OnCourse at least three complete working days prior to the start time of the course (from your Bookings tab, View the course and click Cancel Course). Alternatively please contact the course provider using the contact details at the bottom of your course confirmation email or refer to the OnCourse contact us page. If you are unable to cancel your place on a course directly with us, please ask someone to cancel your place for you. This will ensure that you are not charged a late cancellation fee.

In order to ensure a fair system, please do not send someone to a course in your place, as there may be others waiting to attend in the event of a cancellation.

Late cancellation/non-attendance fees

Depending on your training provider a late cancellation or non-attendance fee may be applied. Please refer to your course confirmation email for full details.

Access requirements

We aim to make our learning and development opportunities accessible to all staff. Please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments to enable access, for example:

  • Level access to venue
  • BSL/SSE interpreters
  • Course handouts in advance, or in alternative formats (Braille, large print, electronically).

Contact details for your training provider can be found on your course confirmation email or via the OnCourse contact us page.

Feedback

The training provider will give you an opportunity to provide feedback on the course, and promptly address issues arising.
