The Control of Substance Hazardous to Health Regulations (2002) places responsilbilities on employers to manage their use of hazardous chemicals in a way that prevents or reduces the risks to health as a result of exposure to hazardous substances. Risk assessment of hazardous chemicals requires the consideration of the substances used within a workplace, how and who may be exposed and the identification of appropriate precautions to eliminate or reduce exposure. This course aims to provide an awareness of the requirements of the COSHH regulations and provide guidance to staff on carrying out suitable risk assesments.
Pre-Requisites Suitable for anyone with responsibility for carrying out COSHH assesments.
