To equip University staff with the knowledge, skills and understanding to:

  • Have an awareness of the environmental performance of the University
  • Identify areas of risk within their remit and understand control measures
  • Have an awareness of the University's Environmental Managemenet System ISO 14001
  • Gain an understanding of the areas of environmental legislation relevant to the University
  • Carry out localised audits to feed into ISO 14001 auditing structure
Objectives At the end of this session you will be able to:

  • Understand organisational drivers for environmental compliance
  • Outline key areas where you can identify applicable legislation and manage compliance
  • Conduct compliance audits to aid the University's ISO 14001 system
