The aims of this course are to provide attendees with the necessary training to allow them to transport 'Excepted' and 'Type A'  packages containing radioacttive material by road, and to satisy the requirements of The Cariiage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Trasportable Presure Equipment Regulations 2009 (CDG Regs) and the European agreement for the transport of dangerous goods (ADR) 2013

Objectives At the end of the course attendees should: 
  • Have the required knowledge to ensure compliance with the law when transporting radioactive material by road and be familiar with contingency planning for emergency situations
  • Know who to contact in the event of an accident/ emergency
Course charges Cancellation fee: Your Division/Faculty will incur a £50 charge should you fail to attend on the day or cancel your place any later than three full working days before the course.
Further information A certificate will be issued after the course. This will be sent to your School Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) in the first instance, who will then forward the certificate to you
