This two-hour, interactive session will provide an overview of the policy on managing health and staff absence, with an emphasis on better equipping managers to support staff with mental health difficulties.

Who this course is aimed at:
This workshop is for staff who have responsibility for managing other staff.
What you need to know
Refreshments: We do not provide refreshments for courses under 3 hours, you are welcome to bring beverages and/or snacks with you.
Cancellation fee: Your Division/Faculty will incur a £50 charge should you fail to attend on the day or cancel your place any later than three full working days before the course.
Sickness: If you are unable to attend the course due to sickness, please can you or a member of your team notify us by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as possible on the day of the course, if not before.
Waiting list: Staff Development will operate a waiting list should this course become full. Because of this, places are non-transferable between colleagues.
How you book: Development courses should be discussed as part of a development plan agreed with your manager.
Each course will be open for bookings at 9 am on the day 8 weeks prior to the course date. If this date falls on a University closure day, the course will be released on the next working day.
