Pure - An Introduction
Duration 0.1 days
Team IT Training Team

This session provides an introduction to the Pure system, and we explain what Pure is used for and who uses it. We demonstrate the most common tasks that are usually carried out by research administrators (searching and adding content) and we sign-post you to the support materials so that you can be self-sufficient and know where to go if you need help.

There will also be a short section about Open Access included in the course.

Pre-Requisites

  • Basic computer skills are expected
  • We do not assume any prior knowledge of Pure

For / Special Requirements

The course is aimed at Professional Services staff who use Pure to support academic colleagues. If you have not previously used Pure, it would be helpful prior to the course to get an understanding about what you will be doing on the system. If you are not sure, please ask your manager / colleagues. We will ask everyone what they use Pure for at the start of the session.

(Academic staff and postgraduate research students can get 1:1 help at our Pure drop-ins. See www.bristol.ac.uk/pure/support for details).
