Our two-hour interactive workshops are for managers of any grade wishing to focus on developing specific skills in their management toolkit.
Are you a helping or hindering to your team to prioritise?
This short workshop looks at the manager’s role in supporting their team with prioritisation. It includes giving clear direction and guidance, avoiding and/or managing clashing priorities, managing ‘random’ factors, and considering where prioritising sits within the 4 skills of workload management.
What to do before you attend: To maximise time in the workshop, there will be some pre-work to complete prior to attending which we will email to you approximately a week before the course.
What you need to know
Cancellation fee: Your Division/Faculty will incur a £50 charge should you fail to attend on the day or cancel your place any later than three full working days before the course.
Sickness: If you are unable to attend the course due to sickness, please can you or a member of your team notify us by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as possible on the day of the course, if not before.
Waiting list: Staff Development will operate a waiting list should this course become full. Because of this, places are non-transferable between colleagues.
How you book
Development courses should be discussed as part of a development plan agreed with your manager.
Each course will be open for bookings at 9 am on the day 8 weeks prior to the course date. If this date falls on a University closure day, the course will be released on the next working day.
