In this 3-hour workshop with science writer and RLF Fellow Brian Clegg, we will be exploring structuring and organising a large writing project, writing concise and informative abstracts and writing effective lay summaries. We will also identify frequently found errors in grammar and how to make your writing more readable and engaging. The aim is to provide tools and techniques to help with a broad range of writing requirements you will face in your career.
The event will involve writing exercises, so please bring a pen and paper, as well as providing a lay summary of a paper (either one of your own or someone else's), 250-500 words, to email@example.com by 27 April. (Word or PDF, please, not LaTex.) They will be used in the event.
