Viva Survivor
Duration 0.5 days
Team Bristol Doctoral College

The viva is the culmination of the PhD process, but anxiety and uncertainty about the day can accompany the sense of achievement in submitting the thesis. This workshop aims to help postgraduate researchers be well prepared for the day by demystifying the viva, providing insights on how to prepare, and empowering participants to approach their viva with confidence.

On completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Learn realistic expectations for the PhD viva
  • Identify allies for their viva preparation
  • Explore practical strategies for preparation and the day of the viva
  • Discuss common viva questions.

For / Special Requirements

For postgraduate researchers at the end of their research degree.

Please note, by registering for this workshop you are agreeing to participate fully in the activities for the full duration of the workshop.
