Managing datasets, large or small, means having a focused research strategy in place before data collection begins. This workshop provides a high-level overview of the principles and practices of undertaking quantitative data analysis. Participants examine quantitative methodologies, as well as data collection and reporting strategies, that should be considered before embarking upon a quantitative analysis.
On completion of this course you will be able to:
Recognise the importance of developing an analytical strategy with clear research questions
Assess different types of numerical data
Identify existing sources of quantitative data
Identify which analytical technique and software will suit your dataset
For / Special Requirements
For postgraduate researchers at the start of their research degree.
Please note, by registering for this workshop you are agreeing to participate fully in the activities for the full duration of the workshop.
