Project Management for Researchers: Planning your PhD

Starting and managing a long-term research project requires strategies to stay on track, keep motivated and monitor your progress. Aimed at new PhD students, this workshop introduces various project-planning tools and approaches that you can apply to help you manage yourself, your research, and your time effectively during your doctorate. Throughout the day, you will work in groups with other new researchers to set goals and action plans to help you successfully navigate the early stages of your research.
On completion of this course you will be able to:
Reflect on and prepare for the demands of a doctoral research degree
Learn and practice using basic project planning tools to apply to your research
Identify your personal goals and commit to moving these forward
Develop a short and mid-term actions
